Woolston Eyes and Elton Reservoir

Woolston Eyes

A lovely reserve with the main area accessible only by permit holders.  Two lifers here with Black-necked Grebe and Ruddy Duck.  Other species of interest included:

Whitethroat
Sedge Warbler
Reed Warbler
Chiffchaff
Great Spotted Woodpecker
Buzzard
Water Rail

Elton Reservoir

We went here to see the White-winged Tern that had been reported and were in luck adding another lifer to the bag!  I managed to film a little using the 'phoneskope' adapter.  Not easy stuff with a fast flying bird and a camera phone but nice record all the same.  Best watched in HD.  Other notable species included Common Tern.
